Alternatively, you can book appointment on our website and register for home collection. You have to provide your address & phone number while booking an appointment.

We provide home sample collection as per your need & requested time. Our routine working hours are 8 am to 5 pm. Appointment is needed to be taken a day prior the tests. Depending on your preferences and need of fasting status for tests required, a technician will be appointed with a time slot. Information of the same will be provided with phone or SMS

After booking home sample collection through website or call, our technician will come to your house for blood sample collection at your requested time. Technician will collect sample & safely transport it to the Lab. Once we receive the sample at the Lab, you will get the update for the same.

No. You will be not charged extra for the home sample collection. Only minimal logistic charges depending upon your location are to be paid

There are several ways to access your lab test results:

You can collect printed report from Deesha Pathlab Diagnostics.

Soft copy of reports can be sent directly to your doctor or to you depending on your preferred mode of communication like Cloud Pathology app, e-mail or whatsapp.

Depending on the test performed, most tests are completed and reported within about 12 hours of receiving the sample for testing. Certain tests take several days to weeks. Test Realated Questions

Some blood tests do require fasting prior to having your blood drawn.

Blood tests with strictly Fasting sample 12 – 14 hrs ( Only water is permitted )  :

  • Lipid Profile
  • Triglycerides
  • LDL cholesterol
  • Apolipoproteins
  • Homocysteine
  • Fasting blood sugar ( 8 – 10 hrs fast )
  • Fasting serum insulin

 Blood tests with preferably fasting sample :

  • Thyroid function tests
  • Vitamin B12, Folic acid / Serum Iron
  • Growth Hormone, Vitamin D3, Uric acid
  • Bilirubin / Alkaline Phosphatase / Ammonia
  • CRP Test

For Fasting Blood Glucose  :

Fasting period of 8 – 10 hrs .

Fasting blood sample and Fasting urine sample is collected.

 

For Post Prandial Blood Glucose  :  

Blood and Urine specimens are collected exactly 2 hours after you start eating a meal

Post prandial blood sample and post prandial urine sample is collected

Fasting blood and Urine specimens are collected. Patient is asked to drink 75 grams of glucose dissolved in 300 ml of water. Time of glucose intake is noted. Three blood & Urine specimens are collected at one hour intervals for subsequent three hours. Patient should be on balanced diet for at least 2 to 3 days prior to the test

For Lipid Profile, Triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, apolipoproteins, homocysteine  :  

12 to 14 hrs of fast ( No food or drink except water ) is required.

For most accurate results, wait at least two months after a heart attack, surgery, infection, injury or pregnancy to check cholesterol levels.

Total and HDL cholesterol    :    Any time of the day without fasting. However, if the test is drawn as part of a total lipid profile, it requires a 12-hour fast (no food or drink, except water). Urine collection for Urine routine   :   First voided midstream morning urine sample is preferable. Patient must be instructed to void directly into clean container. In case of delay in sending sample to laboratory, urine should be preserved at 2-8°C.

Urine collection for pregnancy Test   :  First morning sample in clean container.

24 hrs Urine collection  :  5 to 10 liter container containing preservative is provided from the laboratory. Instruct the patient about the preservative & restrict him form discarding the same.

To start collection   :   You need to discard first urine passed in the morning. From second sample onwards collect all subsequent samples till next day first morning sample in the container provided. Sample should be reached laboratory within 1 hour.

Urine collection for Microbiology testing   :   First morning midstream urine is the ideal specimen. However, in case of urgency, any random sample is acceptable. Ask the patient to clean urethral surfaces & let some urine pass & thereafter collect midstream urine in sterile container. Close the container immediately

Other Questions

Preferably patient should consume both raw & cooked vegetable as main diet 72 hrs before collection of sample. Patient should not take meat, turnips, horseradish, bananas etc. Aspirin / other NSAIDS should be avoided 72hrs before collection of sample.

Patient is asked to collect the sample after 3 to 4 days of sexuaI abstinence. Sample should be collected directly in sterile, wide mouth container. Sample should be reached the laboratory within 1 hour.

Early morning samples are preferable. Sample is to be collected in clean wide mouth container with lid. Patient is asked to rinse his /her mouth thoroughly before obtaining the specimen. Ask the patient to breath deeply, extend the neck and cough as deeply as possible

Usually, you can get the biopsy reports of small specimens on the next day. However, larger specimens, bone specimens or difficult / rare cases needing detailed study may get delayed reports. You can communicate with the lab and get updates.

You can get the slides and blocks. However, you have to contact with the lab and provide report copy along with request form. Doctors will check your slides and blocks and you can get the same on next day after submission of ID proof ( Aadhar card, Pan card xerox )
