Introduction of immunohistochemistry facility at deesha lab (previously available at Metro cities only) has helped in the conclusive diagnosis of differential pathologies. Facility of squash/ crush smear cytology of sinonasal biopsies at Deesha during Covid 19 pandemic has contributed to rapid diagnosis of mucormycosis and early management of these patients significantly reducing the morbidity and mortality.
Deesha pathlab, Sangli had been a boon to Western part of Maharashtra with starting of first of it's kind services in the field of GI oncopathology, immunohistochemistry, GI endoscopic biopsies , EUS FNACs and brush cytologies.
